    1.  And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig"

    hooha.

Hellooo! Ten by twelve was amaaaazing! actually staying the entire time for an all day show has gotta mean something haha. It comes to show what a wonderfully little scene we have here. It's something to really be proud of. I still remember my first show. Quartered and Yellow were playing. Erin told me to come to it. I Think Eric Ley came too. But it was aaaaawesome! shortly after that I went to stoked and Quartered played their last set then they broke up haha. Damn it. But atleast Spasmodic some how came from that. I wondered who the singer from Quartered was a lot. He looked like a curious guy. Maybe Lori can help me out there.

Ahhhh, now for a totally different topic. Final Fantasy 7. How I missed you. And I thank Amy-jean for lending it to me. I managed to teach Aeris her final limit break before she died. She's actually a pretty good character once you get her her third set of limit breaks. What a perfect game. Sephiroth is like the most perfect villain ever. He's so freakin' evil. What a guy. I hear that at some point they're going to make a remake of it with much better graphics, but it'll be coming out for the PS3. And no way in hell am i gonna buy one of those. I guess i'll have to wait til they lower their price to where the PS2 is right now. Like 130 dollars. And I got 20 percent off of it because of where I work. BOO YAH!

    That is all.

p.s. Check out this video of my band playing with Carmen Townsend. It turned out sooo well. Thanks.

    LIKE OMGZ IT'S BEEN LIKE A YEAR!@!@`1

hi people. i haven't been using this thing. i've been pretty much all out neglecting it. but whatevs. i'll continue as if it didn't happen.

i watched the departed last night. what a line up of actors! matt damon, leonardo dicaprio, jack nicholson and marky mark. and last but not least martin sheen and the big fat black guy from hang time. martin scorsese directed it so it automatically makes it good. just look at goodfellas or casino. fuckin eh! i'm also biased cause i love mob/mafia movies. i'll watch anything if it has al pacino or if martin scorsese directed it. yep.

so i got a few shows coming up. centralia and athymia are both playing 10X12! that's going to be fun. i haven't played a show with centralia yet so it should be interesting. and i think carmen townsend might be doing a song with us. oh god that's gonna be so good. White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. goddamn right! it's gonna be so good. in fact i'm going to jam witht hose guys later today. so we cans be ready for that wicked awesome show. i wrote and recorded a funky little tune the other day and the fellas wanna play it. hopefully we can play it at 10X12. we'll see.

anyhow. that's enough of an update. bye bye.

    gobble gobble
wheee! gobblefest was yesterday and it was quite fun! i loved playing. having monitors and getting the drums miced is incredibly great. there were a lot of fun bands too! and some that i just didn't get... on vinyl, mothra, the kettle black, carmen townsend. mmmmm, goodness! the band that was just impossible to grasp was gilbert switzer. i could get into the music but, man the vocals made my ears bleed. so i left, and apparently at one point he took his pants off and was flipping around in his underwear. riiiighto! those were all the bands i saw. well i saw one day late and rock ranger but they aren't very exciting. however, if it were i was a spy playing i would have watched. i had to miss half of the show cause i had supper at 4 at me grand parents house. oh wells. all and all it was fun like fiddles. sooo here's a survey/game thinger.

Describe me in one word - just one.
Comment to me, then post this entry to your LiveJournal and see how many strange things people think about you.

And all the stars were crashing 'round
oooh my yesterday was fun! i woke up at about 10:30 and i started drumming. i just fooled around for about 10 minutes, then i played along to the majority of the new decemberists album. to all the songs that have fun drums in them. my favorite to play is "The Island". it's 12 minutes of wonderfulness. the whole cd is full of wonderfulness. in the song "The Crane Wife 1" there's a lyric that gives me chills every time i hear it. "And all the stars were crashing 'round, as i laid eyes on what i'd found." the way it's sung is beautiful, oh god i'm obsessed. i feel a little bad for stealing their album before it was released, but i couldn't help myself. i'll buy it when it's out in stores anyway so no harm done.

After all of that drumming jazz i realised there was no water in my house. none to drink, or to bathe in cause they were doing construction down the road and the water was turned off. so i headed to sydney all grubby and greasy. i picked bonnie up at school. while i waited for the bell to ring i started reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac. i'm excited to get into it cause i had finished his other book The Dharma Bums the night before and i enjoyed it a bit. Big Sur was really good too. i love his writing. but anyhoo! school was out so we headed back to bonnie’s and pranced about  and walked the dog. we had supper then went to return some movies and visit josh, which was very fun. we went to tim horton’s and i got a soup combo. that chicken noodle and mini-baguette is sooooo good. the baguette was so good that i went to superstore and bought a giant one. we went back to josh's house and ate a lot of it and had cake and talked a bunch. we played some turok then headed back to bonnie’s. we sat around til i had to leave and whaddya know, i'm here now. exciting eh? twas a fun day. so here's a musicy game thing.

Step 1: Comin at ya. Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 2a: When the title is in the first line of the song, post the next line
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

    do do do
ouch, today i was playing drums, and i hit my left index finger off of the snare rim and it tore the skin on my knuckle open like mad. it hurts a lot. especially when i put peroxide on it. i learned the crazy fill in the song Ruin by Lamb of God. it's at 2:40 in the song. i suggest that everybody just downloads that song and listen to it cause it's crazy sounding and i learned it :). just when i thought my drumming hit a road block and i felt like i wasn't getting any better. i sat down for about a half an hour and practiced that fill. then i decided to just improvise some playing after that and i felt like i could play much better over all. i need to practice more often. it just feels so good! WHEEE!

oh dear, so this is my post saying i'm going to miss everybody. i'll still be seeing a bunch of one atleast once more before you all head off to college land. and i'm going to miss you all very very much. especially dan and christine, cause you two were at cbu last year. but off to NFLD you go. you two are some of my bestest friends ever *hugs*. i hope you guys get a long really well over there. i'll be looking forward to gobblefest and stoked even more this year. seeee you guys at the midway state show. there'll be hugs for you all. i'll miss yous.

p.s. i also miss bonnie right now. she's only been gone to p.e.i. for like 2 days, but i have no one to talk to til 3 am right now haha. oh wells. end transmission.

    everything
the last 2 days were very very fun. and full of not needed to be spent money. but oh well. well on thursday, dan and bonnie came out here around 7ish i think and we sat around for a while trying to figure out what to do. we ended up going down to the pizza shop and ordering like 4 dozen wings, i got some mozza sticks with it, mmmmm. hmm, i've gotta pee, and brush my teeth. i'm going to go do that and then come back and finish this post because i plan on making it go somewhere. i'll be right back. ok i'm back. yeah, well we ate all of that and felt quite full. we didn't actually do much that night, but we watched some of goodfellas on tbs(wow)and sang songs and played guitar(this part was really fun, and wonderful and it makes me think about more things that i'll talk about after this). we sang decemberists songs of course, it was fun haha. but eventually we all got tired and went to sleep sleep sleep.

the next day we all got up about 11ish. oh today was a good day. we woke up and my dad cooked us bacon and pan cakes! my dad makes the best damn pan cakes ever. just ask dan or bonnie. DELICIOUS. after that wonderful breakfast we went back to my room and played some mortal kombat, which i owned at. PWNT. i went and had a shower cause we were heading over to the fortress for 3 o clock to see the puppet show! we arrived there just in time off of the bus to catch it. paid freakin 16 dollars to go to the fortress. ridiculous it is. i says "on adult ticket please" then the ticket person says "you're over 16 years?!". yup, that's great, i look like i'm 14 haha. i could have got in for half price. oh well! but the puppet show was superb. the songs in it were wonderful. after that we explored the fortress, we visited the dyke, the gardens and the animals! dan ate several carrots. oh the animals, they were wonderful. especially the goats and sheep. there was this baby boy sheep who had little horns and was black and white spotted like a cow. he was bad ass. after watching them for a while we went over to another building, we looked around into the stable and couldn't see any animals. we wondered what used to be in there. but we looked closer around the corner and saw a baby sheep. it was a boy, and it was there all by itself. it made me really happy and kinda sad at the same time. i think he was in there all alone because he was sick or something, and they didn't want the other sheep to catch what it had, or maybe the other sheep pick on it. well it only had one horn, it looked the the other one had been broken off. but i felt really sorry for the guy , cause he was all lonely. so dan fed him a pod of peas, and we wished him well and ot get better. we said goodbye to that wonderful sheep. i sure hope he'll be alright. i think i should name him. i'm gonna call him ronald. yeah, sure. not very creative but it's good enough. i sure hope they take good care of him if he's sick. i love that little sheep. *hugs ronald*. but we said good bye and by this time it was nearing 5:30 so we had to leave.

once we got back from there we decided we were hungry again so we went to the fortress view restaurant. which was very delicious. pizza finger platters are wonderful. and after that we went to the town dairy and got some ice cream. we then walked down to the board walk to eat our ice cream cones. we sat at a picnic table on the waterfront by the camp ground. and beside the campground was the best thing ever. there was rappers. but they weren't just any rappers. they were CHRISTIAN RAPPERS! they were rapping about jesus! it was so funny haha. they played a song called "richious(sp?) revolution". it was bad ass. then we went back to my house and watched some csi. then i drove those 2 bums home. then back here i went. twas a lovely 2 days!

but what i was talking about earlier. when we were playing and singing songs. oh music. music music music. music worries me a little. because i want to become a great drummer. i want to make a career out of it. and i fear that it will never happen. because i don't motiviate myself enough. i don't practice and i know that i really should, because i'm not going to get any better if i don't. i'm not very good at drumming(because i don't practice). i have no technique and i'm not very coordinated or have good independence with my limbs. lessons are expensive, especially when you're saving your money. i would love a career that meant anything to do with drums. being in a touring band, being a private teacher, be a teacher for elementary or even jr high or highschool kids. maybe even working in a recording studio. but none of that will happen if i don't practice. i've decided that i have to get my act together and practice. i HAVE to get better. i want to go to a music college. and i would get eaten a live if i went to one with the knowledge of theory that i have or the skills i have now. i have a year or two. well i have as long as i want before i go really. but i don't want to wait too long. i want to improve like crazy. get 10 times better! but i don't know if i can do it. i guess i'll see after this year is over, see how much i improve. all of that worries me a lot. it worries me that i won't amount to anything special as a musician. i don't want that to happen. i don't really know where to end with this, and this post is extremely long... sooo i'll end it now. i don't blame you if you didn't read all of that haha. but i had to say all of that. bonnie's last post kinda made me think about future. and when i think about the future i see music being a big part of it. so i guess i'll see what happens.

On the day of the strike, one of the more irritating members of our illustrious student government decided that since he found this activity reprehensible, he would punish those on his committe who were striking. He called three meetings, and when the striking members didn't show up, they were, by virtue of the constitution, thrown off the committe and replaced by others who thought the war was just a lovely notion and anyone who was against it was a raging Communist pinko maggot slut."

    updatez0rz
a long needed update, which won't be that great or informing. i've been strumming on the guitar a lot lately. but i don't know how to write really happy sounding music. i need to learn some new chords. happy ones!

the caper radio coffee house was acouple nights ago and it was super fun! everyone played incredibley. i really like jonathan mackenzie's voice. a lot. the maclean family have incredible voices. jebus. just everyone played wonderfully! including ground zero, i was very impressed with myself. it was really different and fun and i'd like to play not-metal stuff more often.

speaking of playing non-metal stuff. i'm going to jam with kenzie and rian sometime soon! i'm pretty excited for that. because i know that'll sound really fucked up and fun haha.

i almost have my drums paid off! only 150 more dollars to go. after that i just need to buy a few more cymbals and stands and my set will be complete. a 20 or 21 inch paiste ride would be sweet. and 8 or 10 inch sabian splash. i really liked the sound of steve's paiste chinese cymbal when i played it at the fuck the facts show. i'd really like to get one of those too. ooooh drums, you're so expensive.

athymia recording is just about finished! all of the guitar, bass, drum, and vocal tracks are done. we just have to make a small intro and i might do some backing vocals in spots. it sounds deadly. extremely thick and heavy. i hate listening to songs where there's small mistakes in the drums. the guitars, bass and vocals cover small mistakes up pretty well though. it's just a demo so i'm not that worried about little things like that. we're going to get it professionally packaged and get a nice booklet and everything for it too! our bass players cousin did the cover art for one of terratomb's cd's and he's going to do ours too. i'm really excited to see what he's gonna come up with. we have to come up with a solid album name too. but anyhoo. that's enough rambling from me. bye bye!

    hahaha...
Yeah, so today i was mowing a lawn. and when i was near finished it started raining. then i started doing the trimming ya know. with a whipper snipper. then it started thundering. then i realised i was standing in the middle of someone's yard with a big freakin' metal pole. so i hurried along with the trimming and went home in fear that i would become a lightning rod. that is all.

    new drums! whaaaaaaa?
i got new drums. and they're super freaking awesome. they sound beautiful and look beautiful. they sound beautiful and they're not even properly tuned yet. oh myyyy. i got some new hihats too! Sabian Xs20 series, boo ya. they sound sweet. i'll probably post pictures later. and the athymia album is takign shape. 90% of the drum tracks are done and more than half of jasons guitar tracks are done. woot!

i have some bad news aswell. i think i might have wrist problems. like carpel tunnel or something. because i sleep with my arms in weird positions and type the keyboard up higher than my wrists. but i just might be playing drums and holding the sticks the wrong way. i hope i don't have a problem. that would suck seeing as how i want to go to college for music and that i just spent a ton of money on a new kit. speaking of music and instruments! dan lent me a trumpet and i'm learning how to play that! i'm not very good right now but that's to be expected since i just started. i'm excited to learn : ).

also! the tribute show on June 30th is going to be super fun. because me, my brother, and Andrew and Bobby from Erosion are doing a tribute set for Alice In Chains. that's gonna be super duper!
